Graduation before and after.

So the last thing that you heard was that Wes got a job. The job I was talking about was a job working for a firm in Orem, Utah doing family Law. Moments before he found out about the job, he set up an interview with another firm that was coming on campus for recruiting. Then he found out about the job in Orem and was wondering if he should cancel the interview or to just go to it and see what happens. He came home from the interview on Saturday morning, he said that it went really well and that he would find out at the beginning of next week (graduation week). So life went on for a few more days, my parents came and all of Wes's family came out to celebrate Graduation from Law school. Everything seemed normal. We weren't going anywhere and it was nice to know we didn't have to pack and we could stay in our house a few more years. I was already planning to get a new couch and some other things to make our house nicer and more comfortable. That all changed on Wednesday April 22. Wes went downstairs to check his e-mail and he had an offer letter from the Saturday interview. We were so excited we couldn't handle it. This job would take us to Las Vegas, Nevada far from family and friends but it would also give a great opportunity to live and to grow outside of Provo, Utah. We loved living in Provo but it does wear on you after awhile. This job was for Wes. It was the law that he had been studying (litigation), it had benefits (the other one didn't), and it was more pay. So in three days our lives had changed drastically, we were blessed greatly.
Thursday April 23, Wes had BYU graduation, we didn't go to it because we decided that Addy would not have made it for a 3 hour long session. We watched it on TV instead. It was great to be able to be together and see and hear the talks on our own terms. That evening we had our good friends over for some hot doggies and some fun.
Friday April 24th , Wes had BYU Law School graduation at the Provo Tabernacle (across from our first residence as a married couple, Travelodge). It was a beautiful day and we were so excited that the time had come for it to happen. We were lucky to have such great friends to watch Addy during her nap time and then bring her to us at the end. It was very relaxing for me and I actually go tot hear the speakers!!! All three speakers were really good and somewhat funny. It was not boring like usual graduation speeches. They were very entertaining and kept everyones attention. After the speakers and ceremony, we all met outside for a little social with cookies and lots of family and friends. Wes was lucky to have many of his family members there to cheer him on and to see him become DR. SMITH.

That evening we went up to Oma and Opa's house for a Smith/Scott family celebration for Wes and for Grandpa Smiths birthday. We celebrated with lots of food and lots of cake! Yum!

Addy had the best time of all. She got spoiled having her G-ma and G-pa Gaston, Oma and Opa Smith, all of her cousins, aunts and uncles and lots and lots of fun.

She just came downstairs this way.

The next couple of days were a blur just thinking about having to move and getting down to Vegas to find a place to live. We did get to have some fun even though it was a little stressful. Wes, his brother, his dad, my dad and all of his bro-in-laws went to the shooting range. All of the Ladies got to get pedicures (all at different times ) and all of the kids got to go to Kangaroo zoo and to Thanksgiving Point's petting Zoo. Addy liked the petting zoo the best! She got to ride on a horse, pet a cow, horse, donkey, alpaca, goat, bunny and see many other animals. She loved it so much she tried to get in the pen with most of the animals!

She even got to show off some crack!

Good luck in Vegas! I'm sure it will be great! I don't know if you knew Chris Blake her husband is a dr and they lived in GC during his residency. Anyways, she lives in Henderson.

Nice that everyone could come to Wes' graduation! Congrats!
